Dear Friends,
It is that time of year again — our annual Arabic Christmas Sweets Sale!

Our Holy Transfiguration Church Ladies Guild is currently busy planning for this special event. We bake all of these delicious Arabic pastries in our Church kitchen, package them in attractive see-through trays, and make them available to all of you to purchase for yourselves or as gifts for those you know will appreciate such a special and unique gift. The funds raised from this bake sale are used to contribute to our parish’s needs as well as to all the charitable endeavors our Ladies Guild supports.

You will find a slight adjustment in prices this year. We have not changed most prices since 2008, but because of rising prices of supplies, we find it necessary to do so now. We are also offering some new items, including a one-layer box of both our favorites — Mixed Variety and All Baklawa — ideal for teacher’s gifts, etc.

So, if you enjoy these wonderfully delicious Arabic sweets (such as various baklawa varieties, date and nut-filled butter ma’amoul, pistachio-filled butter ma’amoul, anise and coconut ma’kroon, pecan baboulehs (puffs), and ghrabeh), we invite you to order as soon as possible by Oct. 30th, so we can be sure to prepare enough sweets to satisfy your personal and gift-giving needs. If you have family or friends who would also like to place an order, feel free to call or email me. I will be glad to assist you.
